Your driver will be picking you up in the morning at 8.00 am at the Port of La Spezia and you will be driven north towards the Beautiful beach town of Camogli.

Camogli (Camuggi in Genoese dialect) is a small Italian fishing village and tourist resort located on the west side of the peninsula of Portofino, on the Golfo Paradiso at the Riviera di Levante, in the province of Genoa.
This town used to be an important seaport, and its fleet consisted of hundreds of Tall Ships: it was called the “city of a thousand white sails.” In 1798 it had a large contingent of Napoleon’s fleet, which was beaten in the Egyptian waters of the Nile by the Admiral Nelson. In 1880 the city had (in a population of 12,000) 500 patented ship captains. The former fishing village of Camogli, which now lives mainly from tourism, is known for its colorful houses that line behind the beach. The colors once helped the fishermen of Camogli to easily catch their way back to their port. After visiting Camogli you may have the time to enjoy a wonderful street-food style lunch, tasting the famous “focaccia con formaggio” (cheese focaccia) typical of the town of Recco, about 2 kms from Camogli.

You will then proceed towards Santa Margherita Ligure, a beach town situated along the “Riviera Ligure di Levante”, in the Gulf of Tigullio. The town is surrounded by beautiful green hills covered of Mediterranean Pine trees, chestnut and olive trees, where lots of beautiful villas overlook the coast, known as “Dolphin coast”. Driving along the Dolphin coast after 15 minutes approximately, you will arrive in Portofino.

Portofino is a very small town with 440 inhabitants, occupying an area of about two and a half square kilometers. It is located right in the middle of the “Marine protected area of Portofino” and the best thing to do is to walk along the hidden paths of the Natural Park with lots of breathtaking views and historical monuments! Portofino is very famous among the italian VIPs… most of them own a beautiful villa over there!
