During this fantastic tour you will have the opportunity to visit Sorrento and enjoy this fascinating town that overlooks the Bay Of Naples as the key place of the Sorrentine Peninsula.
Many viewpoints allow sight of Naples itself, Vesuvio Volcano and the Isle of Capri.
Sorrento’s sea cliffs and luxury hotels have attracted worldwide famous people, including Caruso and Pavarotti.
Sorrento is also known for the production of Limoncello, a digestif made from lemon rinds, alcohol, water and sugar. Other agricultural production includes citrus fruit, wine, nuts and olives. Wood craftsmanship is also developed.
Time for shopping available!
After Sorrento we will then proceed to Herculaneum and visit all its ancient ruins (hiring a tour guide to visit Ercolano is highly recommended). Ercolano (Herculaneum) is a town and comune in the province of Naples and lies at the western foot of Mount Vesuvius, on the Bay of Naples. The medieval town of Resina was built on the volcanic material left by the eruption of Vesuvius (AD 79) that destroyed the ancient city of Herculaneum, from which the present name is derived.
Leaving Ercolano you’ll start climbing the Vesuvious Volcano to reach the top to enjoy the best view of the “costa napoletana”.
We will then head back to the ship or hotel.
